Spiral flute taps (35° helix) push chips upward — ideal for blind hole tapping in aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. Spiral point taps push chips forward — best for through-hole tapping at high speeds. The TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating reduces friction, prevents galling, and extends tool life by 2-3x compared to uncoated taps.
